I am reading this new book, Dreamland, By Sarah Dessen. Its about this girl, Olivia, who has lived her whole life in her sisters shadow. On Olivia's 16th birthday, her sister ran away. She has to cope with her mom now wanting to be in her life more now that her sister is gone. Then she meets a guy, Rogerson. Her parents do not approve of him but Olivia feels like she needs to make her own decisions now that her sister is gone.
This book is really interesting and Olivia is kind of mysterious so you do not really know how she will react to some situations. Also, Rogerson is a bad influence and and has had trouble with the cops so Olivia feels like she is rebelling by dating him. She is acting different because she has her own spotlight now and not everything is about her sister.
I would recommend this book mostly for girls because its from a girls point of view. Its about her life and drama which most guys do not really care for. There is not a lot of action in the book so you probably shouldn't read this book if that is what you are looking for.
