Why I chose my book
In the book I'm reading, Water for Elephants, the main character is an old man in a nursing home. He is reflecting on his life when he was in the circus and worked with the circus' only elephant. He ended up in the circus because his parents were killed while he was in the middle of college so he became very poor and hopeless. I decided to choose this book because I have heard about the movie and saw that there was very good reviews on the movie so I assumed the book should be good also. I read the summary of the book and it had talked about how the main character, Jacob, had fallen into the circus by fate and it made me want to see what fate had for him in the circus. So far, the book is really good and interesting because it is set in the past so its cool to see how circuses were like back then from his point of view. Also, the story took place during the Great Depression so you see a different point of view on it other than from history textbooks. So far, I would recommend this book to anyone but mostly girls because I think that there is some romance later in the book.

Have you ever gone to a circus? I'm sure they hold many surprises. Anything can happen in there.
