Character Progression

In my book, Arena Two, one of the main characters is Bree. She was taken in the first book by the slave runners but rescued by her sister, Brooke. In this book they are mainly running away from the slave runners, trying to find a safe place to live. At first, I thought Bree was a weak person who really could not defend for themselves. But, in this book she has shown that she can fight against the slave runners and saves Brooke's life many times. I like how she progressed because earlier I felt like she was a burden on the group and acting like a child when she was already old enough to watch out for herself. I predict that she will help more with the group and be part of more decision making. Also, she is starting to have an opinion for herself. She used to just go with whatever Brooke said but she is sometimes going against her if she thinks differently.
